Privacy Policy

It's My Bag is developed and operated by Shadodo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 17456781). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it is handled. By using It's My Bag, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data stored on your device

All catalogue data you enter — items, categories, lists, tasks, ratings, notes, and photos — is stored only on your device in a local database. This data is never transmitted to Shadodo's servers and is not accessible to us. It remains entirely under your control.

Photos you attach to items are stored locally on your device within the app's private storage area. The app requests access to your camera and photo library only when you choose to add a photo.

2. Analytics (Firebase)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used at an aggregate level. Firebase collects:

• Screen views (which screens are visited and in what order)
• Anonymous app events: item added, item edited, category added, backup created, backup restored
• Standard Firebase device signals: device model, OS version, app version, country, language
• A randomly generated Firebase installation ID (not linked to your identity)

No names, email addresses, or personally identifying information are ever sent to Firebase. Data is processed by Google LLC under Google's privacy policy. You can learn more at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

On Android, you can opt out of Firebase Analytics by enabling Limit ad tracking in your device settings. On iOS, the app respects your Allow Apps to Request to Track preference.

3. Subscriptions and purchases (RevenueCat)

It's My Bag offers optional paid subscriptions. Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, Inc., a third-party service. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat processes:

• Your subscription status and entitlement (Premium or free)
• Purchase receipts provided by the App Store or Google Play
• An anonymous identifier generated by RevenueCat (not linked to your name or email)

Shadodo does not collect or store your payment card details. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

4. Backup files

The app includes a local backup and restore feature. When you create a backup, a file is exported to a location of your choosing on your device (or to a cloud storage service you control, such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive). Shadodo has no access to backup files you create or store.

5. No advertising

It's My Bag contains no advertising and does not share any data with advertising networks.

6. No account required

The app does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name or email address to use its features.

7. Children's privacy

It's My Bag is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because all your catalogue data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app. This permanently removes all locally stored data.

Anonymous analytics data held by Google Firebase is retained in accordance with Google's standard data retention policies. Anonymous RevenueCat identifiers are retained as long as your subscription history requires for receipt validation purposes.

9. Cloud backup and sharing (Premium features — coming soon)

Future Premium features will include cloud backup and two-way sharing. When these features are enabled by a paying subscriber, additional data processing will occur:

• Cloud backup: your catalogue data (items, categories, lists, tasks, and photos) will be encrypted and synced to cloud servers. This data will be stored securely and used only to provide the backup and restore service to you. It will not be shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes.
• Sharing: when you choose to share your catalogue or lists with another person, the data you select to share will be transmitted to that recipient. You control what is shared and with whom at all times.
• Account identity: cloud features may require an anonymous or pseudonymous account identifier to associate your data with your devices. This will not require you to provide your name or email address unless you choose to do so.

This policy will be updated before these features are released to reflect any additional data processing in full detail.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights regarding any personal data held about you, including the right to access, correct, or erase it. As described in this policy, Shadodo currently holds no personally identifiable information about app users.

• UK and EU residents have rights under UK GDPR and EU GDPR respectively, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. UK users may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). EU users may contact their national data protection authority.
• California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to deletion.
• All users may contact us at any time with privacy queries or requests using the details below.

For data held by Google (Firebase) or RevenueCat, please refer to their respective privacy policies and contact them directly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app adds new features. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will notify users of material changes through the app or the App Store / Google Play update notes.
